Scam voicemail reporting for iPhone
Share a voicemail from Phone.app. NumBan extracts the callback number, cross-verifies it against the audio, and routes an abuse complaint to the carrier. Then it tracks whether the number goes dead.
How it works
No signup forms, no copy-pasting numbers. Just share, verify, and send.
Tap share on any voicemail in Phone.app and choose NumBan.
We extract the callback number and cross-check it against the transcription.
Review the complaint, tap send, and we route it to the responsible carrier.
Features
Most apps block numbers after they call you. NumBan reports them so they get shut down for everyone.
Kill tracking
We re-check reported numbers weekly. When a number gets disconnected after reports are filed, you get notified and earn a confirmed kill. Real, measurable impact.

What people are saying
"I get at least three scam voicemails a week. Now I just share them to NumBan and move on. Two of the numbers I reported are already dead."
"Finally something that actually does something about scam calls instead of just blocking them after they've already called."
"The kill tracking feature is surprisingly satisfying. Seeing a scam number go dead after you reported it is a great feeling."
Your rights
The Telephone Consumer Protection Act gives you legal recourse against unwanted robocalls and scam voicemails. Some reports may qualify for further action through our partner law firm.

NumBan is an iPhone app that helps you report scam voicemails. You share a voicemail from Phone.app, we extract and verify the callback number, and route an abuse complaint to the carrier or RespOrg responsible for the number.
NumBan extracts phone numbers from the voicemail transcript metadata and independently transcribes the audio on your device. We cross-check both sources to confirm the callback number before allowing a report. This prevents false reports and ensures evidence quality.
After you approve the report, NumBan sends a carrier abuse complaint to the company hosting the callback number. Your personal information is never shared — reports go through a NumBan-managed relay address. We then track the number weekly for status changes.
A kill is confirmed when a reported callback number becomes disconnected or is no longer routable after abuse complaints are filed. NumBan re-checks reported numbers weekly and notifies you when your reports contribute to a number being taken down.
No. Your voicemail audio is stored as private evidence and is never published. Public number pages on numban.com only show aggregate, redacted data such as report counts, carrier information, and scam type — never personal recordings or transcripts.
